The History of Prayer

The early church in the New Testament prayed together about many concerns related to God's will and purposes. They prayed for boldness in witnessing, Christian fruit, the filling of the Spirit, conduct worthy of the Lord, spiritual enlightenment and understanding, deliverance from evil or persecution, the sick, church leaders, missionaries, and persons that were in authority; all of which are concerns of the church today.

The Church Without Walls Promotes and Practices the following Principles of Prayer.

Persistence in Prayer...

We practice the Power of Prayer, the Purpose of Prayer, and the Privilege of Prayer.  History has recorded that:

  • The Power of Prayer has opened the Red Sea, closed the mouths of lions, quenched flames, and set captives free.
  • The Purpose of Prayer is that God's desires may be demonstrated on earth.  When we pray, God's will shall be done.
  • The Privilege of Prayer Jesus says to ask and it shall be given, seek and we shall find, knock and the door will be opened.

Remember when we pray, prayers go up to heaven in worship, out into the world in work, and down to hell in warfare.

Prayer is not just a practice but a profound expression of faith, a direct line to divine wisdom and comfort. It has the power to transform hearts, heal wounds, and move mountains, creating a ripple effect of grace in our lives and the world around us. Through prayer, we open ourselves to the possibilities of God's love and intervention, drawing closer to Him and to the essence of who we are meant to be. It's in this sacred conversation that we find strength, peace, and guidance for the journey ahead. Whether in moments of joy, times of uncertainty, or periods of challenge, prayer anchors us, reminding us that we are never alone.

If you're seeking support, longing for change, or wishing to express gratitude, we invite you to submit your prayer request or praise report. Let's unite in prayer, and together, witness the unfolding of God's majestic plan in our lives.
